Arriving in Dubrovnik Croatia

Dobar dan, (hello in Croatian),

Yesterday was a whirlwind tour of Germany or should I say Lego land. Lego land was a blast, even after a eleven hour flight a three hour drive, a restless six hours of sleep, and a quick vomit in the hall of the pristine German Hotel by Tristan .. we set off for a great day at the Lego Land in Gunzburg.
What a great amusement park. The kids had a blast and so did we climbing though the obstacle course play equipment and riding on the various roller coasters. Tristan and Thor enjoyed building Lego race cars and racing them on the timed track.
After five hours of well executed amusement touring we set off for an hour drive to Stuttgart where we dropped our car and boarded the Tui fly flight 1 hour twenty minuted to Croatia. We arrived 9:00 pm no idea where we were staying or how to get there. Yep that's the way we do things spontaneous and on the fly.. or as some say crazy...this time it worked out okay as within five minutes while I was in the bathroom with Sienna , Thor and Tristan charmed the Taxi driver and 250 kunas, into a ride and apartment inside the walled city of Dubrovnik.

All is well on the Adriatic.

This morning we all slept in and settled into the place as we will stay put for a while and explore the area. The morning was not without excitement and a little tragedy. While climbing the steep smooth marble road towards the city gate a local delivery man lost grip with the slick dew and started to slide backwards while being pushed by his cart piled with goods. At first we thought he was playing around with the slick shoes . Comical at first, until the shouting escalated and we realized he couldn't stop. He was going backwards so fast with this huge cart pushing him into a crowd of pedestrians. Sienna and I ducked into a drainage way just missing the man and the flying cart. He cam e to an abrupt halt as he hit the pavement at our feet head first into the drainage and was in pretty bad shape with a head injury. Help quickly moved in and we stepped aside the kids were pretty shaken.

Sienna kept saying bad bad boo boo and Thor played many scenarios in his head as to how he could of helped stop the cart. The amount of momentum and speed of the cart made it impossible to stop without he himself getting prety hurt. Not to mention Tristan was on his shoulders... Yikes. we were pretty shaken up and left the scene as there were tons of people that came to his aid the ambulance was there fairly quick. We saw the ambulance as it left the city gates. The out of control delivery driver was bloody and bandaged but to our relief, sitting up and lighting his cigarette. (lesson learned practicality before fashion.. did I mention the delivery cart pusher was wearing slick Italian leather shoes on wet marble streets) ..

Okay enough excitement for today.. so after a early lunch or late breakfast we toured walled city and then took cover from the rain back at our Sobe (room).
